Vauva's clothes are manufactured in Southern California, at a small family owned and run business that can be visited any time. Vauva's founder was instantly drawn to this manufacturer from the very first visit. The owner, Noe, is a very kind-hearted, honest man who noticeably loves what he does. He works with music blasting and a smile on his face. He handles the business, does all the cutting and even jumps on the sewing machines when needed. His wife also works there along with about 10-15 other seamsters and seamstresses. Everyone is paid a fair wage and working conditions are good. For Vauva, this is essential and priceless.

The variety of colors that can be achieved solely through nature is incredible. What is even more special, is the depth and dimention of these colors. Our clothes are all hand dyed in small batches so each piece is unique. The dye is living, always slightly different, always slowly changing and evolving.
